A still life of Otto Preminger's film "Anatomy of a Murder", based on Robert Traver's novel of the same name. Traver was the pen name of John Voelker, an attorney from the town where I live. The book is based on a real murder that took place here. Here is the trailer where the killer and his wife stayed, with a dog food can from final scene in the movie, and the drinking motif that pervades the story and real life in the north woods.
